Beijing

My trip to Beijing is over, and i'm left with fabulous memories and tons & tons of pictures! So i've sifted through them and chosen the best (in my opinion) to share, so don't be scared, you don't have to see all 500+ snaps that i took! haha!
From Top to Bottom:
Silk - from one of the market stalls desperate for you to buy from them, on the path up to the Great Wall.
Starbucks in the Forbidden City - ok it's soooo wrong/commerical/bizarre that i just had to do it, to be in this ancient place and slurp up my highly commercialized caffeine hit, this is the ONLY Starbucks i had in China even tho it's everywhere, but a friend mentioned it was inside the Forbidden City, so i hunted it down, it was well hidden which i was impressed by, not much signage! Only signpost i saw was "Coffee Bar" with an arrow pointing that aways.... And it was actually just what i needed that afternoon, a little pick me up in the form of a grande frapuccino :) Yum!
Great Wall - Hmm, don't need to say much except that it was very impressive :)
Cute Bum - I couldn't stop smiling when i saw this little girl with her parents in the Fordbidden City, she was super cute wandering around with her little bum hanging out. Apparently it's the done thing in China, saves on Diaper costs! After this i did see a couple of other little kids with their bums airing out as well, how cute! hahah
Soldiers - I was done with my audio-tour (which was a whole 'nuther story! cuz it kept talking to me about things i couldn't seem to locate..."this ancient temple room was used for......." what temple? where? huh?...... it was rather amusing after i got over the 2 mins of frustration and realized i couldn't do anything about it- it was an automatic-audio tour with no repeat option, ha! i giggled a lot at the silly thing!) of the Forbidden City and headed back via Tianemen Square(forgive my spelling!) and happened upon these marking soldiers! They looked fabulous so i had to snap 'em! :)
